HOW IT ALL BEGAN
A warm welcome to Kommodum Kids! Founded by Sophia Glatz, a certified mindfulness teacher for children, teenagers and adults, Kommodum Kids was born from a heartfelt belief: that mindfulness, when introduced early, can empower children to grow into emotionally resilient, self-aware, and compassionate individuals. Sophia’s journey began in the classroom, where she saw the tangible impact of mindfulness on her students’ emotional regulation, attention, and peer relationships. These observations led to a powerful realisation: that the foundations for how we handle stress, relate to others, and learn most effectively are all shaped in childhood. Driven by this understanding, Sophia created Kommodum Kids to help young minds build those foundations with care and intention. Mindfulness here isn’t a quick fix; it’s a lifelong inner resource that equips children to navigate both the challenges and joys of life. At Kommodum Kids, we believe mindfulness is an advantage, one that supports children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development. Whether at home or in school, every mindful moment helps lay the groundwork for a more connected, confident, and kind future. Join us on this journey. One mindful moment at a time.

Sophia’s work is not a substitute for therapy or medical treatment. She does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Her services support emotional awareness, self-regulation, and well-being through mindfulness-based practices.
Mindfulness can be a wonderful complement to professional care, but it’s not a replacement. If you have concerns about yourself or your child’s mental health, it is important to seek support from a licensed therapist or healthcare provider.
