Workshops for
Schools
Our workshops are crafted to nurture mindfulness in a fun, enriching and interactive manner for children in a classroom setting. You are welcome to explore our diverse range of workshop themes outlined below, each delving into distinct aspects of mindfulness.

Befriending Our Emotions
This workshop focuses on how we relate to the thoughts and emotions that arise in our awareness. Children will develop the ability to distinguish between passing emotions and thoughts and how mindfulness allows us to kindly observe them. Through the use of props, engaging short stories, guided mindfulness meditations, and creative activities, children will uncover that our thoughts and feelings are just passing moments. They don't define us, and there's no need to push them away or hold on too tight. It's all about understanding and letting them flow.

Our Amazing Brain
This workshop delves into the fascinating concept of the mind and the brain, understanding their connection while recognising their unique roles. Together, we'll discover how the brain is a dynamic entity, influenced by how we train our minds. Throughout the workshop, we'll engage in mindful and fun activities that allow us to experience the power of directing our attention. The goal is not just to learn about the brain but to actively explore and understand how we can shape it through mindful practices. By the end, children will have simple yet effective tools for "training their attention" in a mindful way.

Choose Kindness
Bullying poses a significant concern impacting numerous children globally. Schools, in particular, can be challenging environments for many youngsters. In this workshop, kids will explore the importance of making choices throughout their day. They will discover how we can actively train our brains to be aware of the choices we make through mindful awareness activities. focus on conflict resolution without resorting to mean or hurtful behavior. Through interactive role-playing exercises, breath work and mindful team work, children will practice empathy, compassion, and the art of being a supportive friend. The outcome of the session is for children to develop the ability to recognise opportunities to make thoughtful and positive choices.

The Yum Factor
During this workshop children will take on the role of scientists, employing all their senses to investigate and savour their snack. This engaging session encourages them to slow down and fully immerse themselves in the experience. Through tactile and fun tasting exercises with healthy snack options, children will learn to stop and notice the little things in most of what we do. Children are encouraged to share their experiences and engage in concious attention practices.

Gratitude
This workshop aims to introduce mindfulness practices to foster positive states of mind, specifically focusing on the connection between gratitude and awareness of breath and body. Through creative activities, guided meditations and a short story, we'll establish how positive mind states, like gratitude, contribute to relaxation in both the mind and body. By the end of this workshop, students will be able to reflect on experiences of gratitude and how this feels in their bodies.

The Power Of Pause
In the fast pace of the school day, our brains often run on autopilot, especially when we’re stressed, frustrated, or overwhelmed. This interactive workshop helps students explore the difference between reacting and responding, using different mindfulness practices to create space and pause. By the end of the session, students will walk away with their own calming strategy and a visual reminder of their inner “pause button.”

The Worry Monster
In this workship children are introduced to mindfulness practices specifically designed to help them reflect on worries or concerns. We'll guide children to connect the experience of worrying with an awareness of physical sensations in their bodies. By focusing on how emotions manifest physically, we aim to direct our minds towards the immediate experience in the present moment. By using the 'Worry Monster' metaphor to symbolise the foreboding feeling linked to worries, children will discover that, despite its appearance, the Worry Monster is a comical character, aiming to add humour and lightness to how we usually perceive our worries. Creative activites, guided mindful practices and a short, engaging story and self-reflection worksheets are included in this workshop.

Body Detectives
This workshop focuses on understanding the interplay between thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. Mindfulness of the body entails directing awareness to the pure physical experience, moving away from overanalysing or attempting to solve mental challenges. Through a body scan visualisation, featuring images and emotion characters, will guide children in bringing awareness to different body parts and associated emotions. By becoming Body Detectives, children develop a practical sense of using mindfulness of the breath and bodily awareness as invaluable tools, particularly during times of emotional upset. Join us on this investigative adventure to enhance our understanding of the mind-body connection and empower children with mindful navigation skills. Creative expression, guided meditations and engaging worksheets will enhance the workshop experience.
